News release: Harvest House invites all to share in the harvest this Thanksgiving

Harvest House’s Annual Thanksgiving Banquet is this Monday!

As people excitedly prepare their homes for Thanksgiving with their families and loved ones this weekend, we often forget that there are so many people right here in Moncton who do not share the same advantages.

Harvest House in making sure that everyone in the city has the ability to share in the Harvest on Thanksgiving. Their Annual Thanksgiving Banquet begins at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12.

"Thanksgiving weekend is always exciting here” said Erin Daniels, Director of Communications with Harvest House. "I don’t know of a better way to show thankfulness for the blessings of life, than to share of your time, or resources with other people in this city."

Harvest House has been serving people in need here in Moncton for 12 years. Thousands of people have been touched by the ministry through the provisions of warm shelter, meals, training, education and recovery.

Harvest House staff and volunteers will be busy preparing for hundreds of guests over the next few days. People are helping with everything from donations of food and supplies to cooking, decorating, playing music and serving meals.

"Our goal is to have everyone who walks through the doors be blessed with a full stomach and a full heart,” said Executive Director Cal Maskery.
